Well, everyone, it’s true: I am going the way of the buffalo. I am heading back to school and leaving my beloved burrito home here at Panchero’s. That’s good news for you job-seeking social medialites! Someone needs to fill my shoes (I wear a size 12) and continue tweeting, blogging, (face)booking and venturing into new social media lands for PMG. It could be you! Check out the less-than-ordinary (and hopefully FUN) application process we have set up for you social media manager hopefuls:

Panchero’s Mexican Grill is running several social media projects, including Twitter, Facebook, and the Panchero’s blog. We are looking for someone to continue managing our social media efforts as a full-time paid intern through December, 2009 (social media + burritos + kick-butt-benefits = awesomeness). The candidate chosen for the position may have the opportunity to continue working with Panchero’s full-time after the internship term.

We’re looking for someone with creativity, innovation, and a “social media” personality. Here’s how to apply:

Tell us what the next Panchero’s social media campaign should be. It could include a project we’re already running or it could be something entirely new. Show us where you’d take Panchero’s social media next. Your submission can be a combination of any media (writing, images, video, a slideshow of facebook photos that you really shouldn’t have posted… well, probably not) use whatever will showcase your understanding of social media. Whatever you create must be submitted by 5:00 pm CST on April 10. Send your submissions to joelj@pancheros.com (send me a link, a file, instructions on where to find your masterpiece). Please also include a résumé that highlights your social media experience.

Once we have your submissions, those with the best ideas will be asked in for interviews. The one who makes it through will be on the way to social media sweetness in a burritoful world. You could be the Social Media Manager at Panchero’s Mexican Grill!
