Behind the Line
Here’s what to expect when you walk into Panchero’s Mexican Grill. Learn about what we do and how we do it. See how a ball of dough is pressed right in front of you into your tortilla and follow it down the line to the checkout.
Down the Line: Follow a burrito down the line. This is a good place to start if you’ve never been to Panchero’s before. As you walk in, you’ll see a menu board above the line. You can make your choices as you go along: choose a burrito, tacos, quesadilla, salad or burrito bowl. Once you’ve made that decision, choose what you want to put in your tortilla or bowl as you move down the line.
The Tortilla Press: One thing you might notice in Panchero’s that you won’t find somewhere else: the tortilla press. Every tortilla in our stores is fresh-pressed from fresh-made dough. Not only do these tortillas taste great, they also seal in all the ingredients when they’re rolled up. No more beans in your lap! Check out how the press works, then see it in action.
Bob the Tool: If you’ve been to Panchero’s, you may already be familiar with Bob. Since April 2008, Bob has been mixing up the ingredients in Panchero’s burritos so that you get every ingredient in every bite, just say “Bob my burrito!” If you’re not into the mixing thing, just make sure to say “no thanks.” Here’s a clip of Bob in action:
How To Make A Quesadilla: This is something that comes with a little experience (as I clearly demonstrate in the video below. You can order a cheese quesadilla or go nuts and put anything you want inside it. Get creative and get a tasty quesadilla next time you stop by!
Setup: Before the doors open at Panchero’s, the staff is hard at work getting everything ready. Our food is made fresh in the store: no microwaves or freezers. From a fresh-pressed tortilla to made-this-morning guacamole, everything you see is fresh as can be. Watch as the staff of the Coralville, IA location preps the line for the day.
