April is a busy month for Panchero’s as we welcome two new stores to our ever-growing fleet!

Madison, WI and Fargo, ND will both be welcoming a new Panchero’s to their neighborhood in April.

Fargo, ND will beat Madison by about a week, though. Fargo will be offering fresh pressed, Bob’d burritos for the first time on Tuesday, April 6th. Fargo will be North Dakota’s second Panchero’s. This location will accompany our Bismarck location which has been open since July 2007! And don’t forget, with each grand opening comes the elusive $1 burrito special!

With Grand Openings comes $1 burritos!!

Stop in the store on the specified date and time to get your burrito for just a buck! Help us celebrate the new stores!

Fargo, ND: April 13 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm

Madison, WI: April 20 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm

Madison, WI opens it’s doors on Monday, the 12th of April. Wisconsin is now home to three Panchero’s.

We have a little special surprise lined up for the Madison opening, so if you’re in the area be sure to stay tuned for those updates.  In the meantime, check out some photos of the new Madison store and help us welcome both locations on their opening night along with their $1 burrito grand opening specials!

Color your burritos!

You can’t say Panchero’s doesn’t have spirit! UNI has overcome some serious odds in the NCAA tournament this year and the local Panchero’s in Cedar Falls is showing their spirit by serving PURPLE burritos!

But…that’s not all. For St. Patties day last week some of our locations rocked the GREEN burritos. Here is a photo pulled from Twitter.

Okay, here is a late entry. Our operations guy in the office is a HUGE LSU fan, he twisted my arm til I did this. (excuse the poor photoshop it was done with one arm…)

All good things must come to an end…

Some of our locations are still offering the meat option of barbacoa. However, this option will soon be coming to an end!

So, if you are a big barbacoa fan, you may want to go get your fill soon because it may not be around much longer!

I’ve done a few #BurritoUp gatherings in the past (Ames BurritoUp!) and they were a ton of fun! It’s a concept I would like to continue, so I thought I would give everyone the low-down on what exactly a #burritoup is.

If you have ever been to a tweetup, you are already very familiar with the concept of meeting people from your online community in person. If you are not familiar with a tweetup, don’t worry, it’s very simple. A lot of very active users on Twitter and other social media networks, have a community of friends they interact with via the internet. But you may never get the chance to really meet these people in real life, even though they may live in the same city as you! (sad)

I love meeting my followers (and loyal Panchero’s fans) in person and having an opportunity to really connect with everyone! And what better way to do it than meeting at the nearest Panchero’s and enjoying the company of great people around some pretty awesome burritos!

Thus, the #BurritoUp was born! A burritoup is a gathering of people that meet at a designated Panchero’s to enjoy company and great food. The event is generally organized and talked about via Twitter, or other social sites.

The people have spoken and the winner is in! We had a lot of great entries for Bob’s birthday, but only one of them can be standing at the end as the winner.

Congratulations to Aaron Rosenberg for submitting his “remembering day one” card! It racked up the most votes on Facebook and is the winner!

They grow up so fast, don’t they? Seems like only yesterday he was mixing his first Panchero’s burrito.

Bob is a pretty special guy at Panchero’s. He is that little tool responsible for making sure you have every ingredient in every bite! So what I want to know is, how are you going to wish Bob a Happy 2nd Birthday?!

Will you sing him Happy Birthday?

Will you make Bob a Birthday card? (he’s turning two, remember)

Maybe you want to stand on the table in the break room at work and scream “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!”

It’s up to you. But whatever you choose to do, we want to hear about it!

This contest is all about sharing, even the prizes! (no you don’t have to share your prizes) If your entry is voted as the winner you will be taking home a DVD player and at LEAST a week (7) worth of free burritos. Why do I say at least? Because for every three entries submitted for this contest, I will throw in another day (1) of free burritos. So, the size of the prize is really up to you guys!

Here is how to enter:

It’s easy, just make a video, snap a picture or write a post. Then tell me about it! There are numerous ways to tell me; Pancheros is on Facebook, Twitter and we have our own Blog (it’s what  you’re reading right now). Once you have created your happy birthday masterpiece just tell me where to find it! Upload a twitpic or a twitvid, put a video on YouTube and send me the link! Post photos and videos to my Facebook fan wall.

Any way you can think of to tell me about your masterpiece, I’m all ears…..and eyes.

Bonus point

You can submit more than once! Is your spirit just too much to contain in a single song?! Is a birthday card just not enough for you? I can respect that. Provided that your submissions are a different format (picture,video,text…etc) I will accept as many as you will give me.

So, here is all the dirty details

I will be accepting entries from March 1 – March 19 (5:00cst)

The panchero’s employees will vote on what we consider to be the top 5 entries.

Those entries will be posted online and you guys will have the chance to vote and decide who is taking home the DVD player and burrito cards.

Voting will take place March 22 – March 31 (5:00cst)

The winner will be announced on Bob’s Birthday, April 1st!
